Through the Soul of Athens, I had the unique opportunity to meet many different people with inspiring lives and stories that blew me away. I met the Carlson’s, a young married couple with two young children, who live in a house surrounded by so much love. Just walking in to their home before their weekly Monday evening Rainbow Circle meditation, the energy and love is just overwhelming. They took me into their home, shared their completely homemade, organic chocolate with me, and spoke about life, poetry, and shared their stories with me. Wendy McVicker, a local poet and teacher, shared with me her passion for creativity, poetry, and love of the arts. Her smiling eyes made me feel at home. As we spoke and shared life stories, we made simple connections that will last and hopefully grow stronger as we keep in touch. The connections and interactions shared during my Soul experience have lead me to meet extremely unique and wonderful individuals, and I am thankful for their support and interest in this project. Their passions have inspired me and will continue to do so throughout my days.
