Is this the first time you participated in Soul of Athens? If not, how many years have you been involved?

This is my second year in SoA.

Give a short description of your project for Soul of Athens.

This year I participated as a senior producer.

I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect both with myself and the stories in my group. Both aspects definitely surprised me. The stories in my group really amazed me, and I’m excited to see them out in the world.

Looking back, what would you have done differently?

It’s hard to tell. Some people want more help and others want less. I was coming in on the producer side for the first time, so it was all new to me. If I were to do it again, I’d have a lot more experience to help me.

While spending long hours working on Soul of Athens, what was your food of choice?

Turkey Havarti sandwich from Pharmacy & Annie’s Mac and Cheese. Does coffee count?

No, I did it last year.

Give a short description of your project for Soul of Athens.

I did a multimedia project on one man who rescues and caretakes exotic animals. This story is about a man who has dedicated his life to making these animals’ lives better.

As always, Soul of Athens is stressful, full of all-nighters and pushing yourself to do new and better things, but it is also extremely rewarding and you make something you’re proud of.

Looking back, what would you have done differently?

I’m not sure really. I would have started shooting video more and asked for help more, even if it was just asking someone to give me their opinion if they liked it.

While spending long hours working on Soul of Athens, what was your food of choice?

Either going home for a break for some quick eggs, Ali Baba’s or on the real late, hard nights: a Calzone.

Had insomnia, feel exhausted. Was good to work in a team with writer, was nice to meet a lot of interesting people and see their work. Was hard to work with film, because I could not get feedback and show work. Inspiring – how much and hard people could work. Wish the project could have been more people-oriented.

Looking back, what would you have done differently?

Take it for 4 credit hours. Probably would work on a project I started before and had set up contacts and probably shoot digital or video.

While spending long hours working on Soul of Athens, what was your food of choice?

More coffee than usual
